I'm writing this blog to keep people informed about the wrongful suspension of my Etsy shop, which was implemented by Etsy as of 16th March 2025.
Over the last 18 months I've received threats from Etsy regarding their handmade policies. In short, they take my listings down and tell me it is impossible to have these strikes on my account removed, irrespective of whether I send them evidence of my supplier invoices and videos of me making the items.
For what it's worth, all of my supplies are sourced by all corners of the world. From the UK, to the EU, to the United States of America. I often post images or short clips on Instagram of my workspace.
As it stands, I'm appealing the decision that Etsy have made and I have to wait 2 weeks for them to make a decision. Prior to this I have reached out to Etsy support multiple times, only for them to simply not care.
Until this is resolved, I will only be selling through my online shop. Even then, after all the threats from Etsy, I'm not sure if I will go back to the platform. I left it for 6 months last year but ultimately decided to go back as a fair amount of my income came from that source.
Thank you to those who have shown their support, it truly means more than I can tell you. To those who are also suffering the same treatment from Etsy, I greatly empathise and I will do my best to support you.
